A warm welcome to Bond Primary School. I hope that you find this website useful and that you get a true sense of our Bond Primary school ethos. Bond is a warm and friendly school; we have a strong sense of community in our school – we want to be the best primary school in Mitcham! As the new Headteacher at Bond primary school, this struck me straight away as a characteristic that I want to continue to nurture across our school community, particularly with you as our parents and carers. It is important that our children see us working together to secure the best possible outcomes for them.
The governors and staff at Bond Primary School have worked incredibly hard to secure a Good Ofsted judgement and we will continue to strive to build on this success. My staff and I aim to secure the best outcomes for all pupils within our school valuing each child as an individual. We appreciate that not all children are the same and will continue to do our utmost to meet the needs of each individual, building a sense of character and resilience to equip our children to become purposeful and productive citizens of their future local and global communities. We place the children at the centre of all decisions we make in order to promote a sense of pride and provide positive learning experiences for all children. We believe children learn best when they feel happy and safe and are not afraid to make mistakes.
Our children are active participants in an engaging and lively curriculum enhanced by partnerships with outside agencies. We offer wonderful outdoor spaces including our Edible Garden which is fully managed by the children. Children also have access to our well- resourced school library to foster the awe and wonder of being immersed in an exciting book! We have recently received the Music Mark Award, the Healthy Schools Bronze award, Gold School Sports Games Award and Platinum School Sports Mark Award. We are incredibly proud of these achievements.
We hope that you will share in our successes and aspirations for Bond Primary and warmly welcome you to visit our school.
