Response to government announcement
Yesterday evening, Boris Johnson addressed the nation outlining his lockdown exit strategy or plan. Within this announcement, he referred to schools re-opening on 1st June for Reception, Year 1 and 6 year groups. Headteachers received this message at the same time as the wider public and so we were unaware of this plan until yesterday. Suffice to say that at this stage I am unable to answer many of the questions that you may have regarding this. We are awaiting further detail to this plan to ensure that it is safe for our pupils and staff to return to as near `normal’ school routine. Until we have this, it is unclear as to how this will look for our school.
Our current provision for vulnerable children and children of essential workers will continue- there is no immediate change.
Children will continue to receive home learning for the foreseeable future.
In the coming days and weeks, as further information is received and there is greater clarity around what this will mean for Bond Primary School, I will share this with you.
May I take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and hard work during these very challenging times.
